In case an option is exercised, a SPOT deal is automatically generated for both counterparties (Buyer and Seller of the option). Members need not report these deals separately to CCIL TR.
At 11:30AM, as the FX Fixing rate is published on OPTIX Analytics screen, a 2 minute Exercise window is available for the users, wherein In-the-money Call Options with Strike price between FX Fixing Rate and FX Fixing Rate- 2 paise and In-the-money Put Options with Strike price between FX Fixing Rate and FX Fixing Rate + 2 paise are available for the users to be marked for expiry.
If the user does not take any action on these In-the-money Options within the Exercise window of two minutes then the Options would be auto exercised.
All the other options (Call/ Put) that do not fall under the above mentioned criteria are auto exercised or expired at 11:30 am (as per their moneyness) as soon as the FX fixing rate comes.
